Ernie is now 2 . . . years(!) . . . old.

We had the g-'rents down for a brunch celebration. Ernie LOVED all of his gifts. The concepts of presents is big since Christmas, so we had to hide the early arrivers from aunts and uncles until yesterday. Mom and Dad got him a Radio Flyer wagon and filled it with the gifts, and when he saw it he said over and over "That's a wagon inside!" knowing that it's an outside toy so this was special.

The Halls gave him some new clothes and an Elmo laptop toy, as well as his awesome Cars cake (with CARS!).

Aunt Heather and Uncle John sent a great froggy that ribbits when Ernie snuggles him! Now we know exactly when Ernie falls asleep, because that's when froggy is silent. Here he is enjoying him right before bedtime.

Aunt Laura and Uncle Tim send him a "Biiiiiiiiig red semi truck!" with a "Biiiiiiiiiig gray trailor!" that holds up to ten of his little cars! And it's got a remote control!

And the Mohrs made Ernie a HUGE teepee tent! It's 7 feet tall folded, and about 5.5 feet across in the interior set up! Mommy's favorite new thing was Ernie going inside the tent, pretending that he's grabbing something off an interior panel, and bringing his closed fists out to mommy to hand her some "privacy." "Mommy need more privacy" and back he goes to fetch me another batch. Heart melt.

Ernie loved his special day. He spent most of his time loading his wagon up with his new things, climbing inside, and then instruction adults to push him in the tent and out the tent. Thanks for all the cards and well-wishes!

Grandma Chris's Birthday

Ahem, she's 60. Grandpa Darrell worked up a little surprise, and Ernie got to enjoy the party and spend some more time chasing Cousin Kittrick around!
Apologies to Cousin Sally. I don't know why my camera decided you needed a red filter, but I think it means we need a new camera.

Snow!

Ernie and Chester had some fun in the snow a couple of weeks ago. Mom made the tiniest most pathetic excuse for a snowman with dead flower eyes and stems for arms. Chester recently got a haircut (read: shaved) so he won't be spending more than a few minutes outside in this kind of weather for some time.
