Lenora can do it all!

Well, not ALL of it but she certainly is becoming more capable! About late July she started waving. And boy did she take to it! She just loves waving hello to everyone in the house, everyone on the street, goodbye to Mommy before work, goodnight to Mom and Dad at bedtime. We recently went on a paddle-wheel boat ride, and when we left the upper deck all the passengers said "goodbye!" the the flirty baby girl and she just waved like a celebrity!
And she's mobile! For some time she was a pretty good lurcher. She could make one lunge forward on her tummy and then flattened out her arms and legs. Most of her progress this way was somehow backwards. Now she can do an almost-authentic baby crawl! It's a bit like a mummy baby, or maybe a Egor kind of craw. She moves the right leg either on her knee or using her flat foot, and then sort of drags the left knee. But she's excited to be moving! Ernie has to rush to keep his toys out of her reach, and Chester no longer has constant floor access to his chew toys. More than anything, she loves it when someone will hold her hands so she can walk. I'm thinking she'll be there soon!

The video is more of the lurcher phase, but she progressed from this to the Egor within a week!

Siblings and friends

Just some fun moments of both kids from the past couple of months. Click on the thumbnails for the videos.

July 4 with the Halls

Hall sibs all returned for the Fourth of July, and we had a fun weekend full of swimming!

Sibs exchanged birthday gifts. Jeremy got both seasons of Dexter from Cathie. Ernie's examining his blood-covered face and wondering what kind of juice he drinks.
You know what? Halls are really hard to nail down in photographs (there's a rumor that some avoid having their picture taken). So apparently I only have good pictures of the most immobile person in the room (Lenora) with the most willing subjects, in-laws Amy and John.

And Lenora was obsessed with swimming with Ashlee!

Dairy Days

We chose to expose ourselves to a busy dairy farm on one of summer's hottest days, because we are awesomely fun. And although Ernie got to ride in a milk truck and play in a corn box, we were all still a little disappointed to learn that Prairieland Dairy cows do not actually wear bonnets, as depicted in their logo.
