This is totally sweet, but I figure I post enough weird/creepy stuff about Ernie I should give sweetness equal time.
We were playing in his room and Len is all about pulling herself up on stuff and then slamming down on her ample bum. One of the times she did it she started to cry, though I couldn't identify how she might have hurt herself. I was comforting her, and Ern pops in with a stuffed Curious George doll and just says "Here, Lenora." and goes back to playing. I was amazed at how quickly he just made her feel better even though it interrupted his play! Then he said "I wish I had a REAL George the Monkey." I said that if he had a real monkey I was pretty sure we should stop having kids. Then I asked "Would you rather have a real monkey, or another brother or another sister?" He looked real concerned and said "I'd rather have LENORA!"
I think he thought I was planning on trading her in for a monkey.
