Sillies

Everyday fun is too much fun not to document with a nice selection of randoms.
Cowboy Ernie:
Listening to spooky stories in the teepee tent in Ern's room:

Trying on Mom's panties on laundry day:

Please see post on mantights for further insights:

Super emo about getting goggles.
When you find out your dad doesn't know everything about Treasure Island, you take a field trip.

Fourth of July

This was the first year the kids were really into fireworks. Too bad they can't stay up late enough to see them in the dark. Sparklers in the shade at 3:30 p.m. isn't quite the same.

Happy Father's Day!

Beside's Dad, one of our favorite things is donuts. And both of them make Father's Day extra special.

Summertime is Partytime

Mantights

Ernie is very much a fan of calf-conscious clothing on men. Several Princes have emphasized to him that this is something handsome men wear. If only more of his wardrobe was more . . . princely. Thank goodness he's able to improvise! Just take a monster truck T-shirt, a pair of long underwear, and underoos, and you're new nickname is "Charming."
This is what is being called "the lady pose."

And this is "the man pose." Ladies love this pose.

We like museums, zoos, and other free places

Getting the most out of the Lincoln Passport program again!
Here's Len being a firefighter/veterinarian at the Lincoln Children's Museum.
And Ernie providing the sound effects for the police motorcycle.

Len was quite proud she could climb in the ambulance herself this time!

But she's not quite tall enough to splash on her own in the water area.

And Ernie practiced some doctoring on a baby doll. She didn't even cry at her shot.

The Children's Zoo got some penguins!

I got them to slow down long enough for a picture with their actual faces in it.

Lenora was so excited her brother became a frog. She wanted him to stay there forever.

Then she met the irresistible Mr. River Otter.

And she's not one to beat around the bush.
And the Tractor Museum had their annual parade!

Plenty of stuff to play and climb on, and Ernie liked hauling around his "load."

Growing up

Ernie finished up his first year of preschool and got his first bike recently. The school had planned a picnic outside, but it rained. Len and Ern (he's in the gray hood) instead camped out with all his friends in the Small Group Room. Our little boy is getting to be so big.

Cathie and Chad's wedding!

Seriously, she could not have been any more beautiful.
But aren't all Halls pretty good looking?

Congratulations, Cathie and Chad!

Easter

We spent Easter morning at home, and then headed to Omaha to visit the Mohrs and have a special egg hunt at the Joslyn Art Museum.
Ernie was so fast at hunting eggs, we only had time to capture Len during the hunt.

Lenora really loved her balloon.

BOTH kids loved the surprise egg hunt in the Patrick O'Dougherty sculpture.

Think we can build one of these in our backyard?
