Mohr family Christmas

My assignment for the next holiday is to get the kids in shots with other adults more. Lenora loves her growing dollhouse family, Ernie's still trying to master rollerskating but LOVES having knee and elbow pads for all kinds of everyday stunt work, and Lenora's ballarina fascination was fully enforced at both Grandparents' homes. Just some of the fun documented, but we had such a lovely time!

Hall Family Christmas

We had a lovely time with the Halls this year, as all the Aunts and Uncles and cousins were in town. Someone gave Ernie control of the camera for too long, so if anyone is anxious for extreme close-ups of themselves entirely out of focus, I'll be happy to post them. We did get these two of the kids opening presents in the whirl-wind of gift-giving. We're so fortunate in our family.

Star Wars

One gift that keeps on giving was from Uncle Chris at the Hall family Christmas. He brought Star Wars Episode IV, A New Hope. This was Ernie's first non-animated live-action feature-length movie, his first understanding of Star Wars outside of Star Wars ABC, and his first glimpse of light sabers in action. Suffice to say he was, and remains, profoundly affected.

Christmas at home

Christmas morning at home means chocolate for breakfast, holiday jammies until lunch time, and of course presents.

Go Vikings!

The kids got water flutes, just in case bathtime ever feels to quiet and peaceful.

And Ernie got a real red Darth Vadar light saber. This means we can finally recycle old paper towel rolls.

We can also say "goodbye" to ever being called "Mom" or "Dad" again. From now on we are only assigned roles as Star Wars characters.

Godfrey, the freak-out dog-dog

We're all quite fond of Aunt Laura's puppy Godfrey, even if he scares some of us (Len) and chases others of us (Ernie) and disobeys the rest of us when he visits. He's all puppy right now, and still sweet.

Cookies with Dad

Dad is quite domestic, and nothing brings out his craftiness quite like holiday cookies. Ernie had a playdate with Tanis, one of his classmates who also has a stay-at-home father. They made the cookies together and Lenora helped frost and decorate when she woke up. All their classmates got one for the holidays!

First (professional) haircut

Lennie finally got to sit in a salon and have her locks clipped by someone with a cosmotology license. Now that we are all clear on what the qualifications are for cuttin her hair, I'll proceed with pictures. Yes, Ernie paid for it AND the tip.
