Feet! Who knew there was something as exciting as hands?!? Now while we're sure feet will never replace hands, they do have a number of features that make them a nice accompaniment: they are cute, they accommodate nicknames such as "piggies," and their interaction with hands is delightful. Not sure if any other practical use will be discovered, but we look forward to learning their full potential!

Ernie's social calendar is sure busier than mine. He makes me feel like a loser! How did he react to fireworks? Such a sweet picture of him playing with his feet. I can't believe how much and how quickly he's changing!
You know, Lisa, we were totally hoping that he would slow us down a bit. No body told us that kids would have more energy than us. All those damn catnaps, lucky stiffs. And actually he missed all the fireworks--in fact we all did. We're lame enough that our new bed time is about when they started going off, which only solicited angry grumblings from an almost asleep Amber.
But seriously, the fourth was a lot of fun. That's been one of the best things about having kids: sharing him with a family who loves him so much.
Wait until he is fifteen, they keep finding new appendages they find interesting.

On that note--If I recall, a certain cousin of Ernie's found another appendage well before he was 15. Something about a Tootsie roll pop...hmm.
