Ernie's Endorsement of the Week: Minis!

We're sure to love items small enough for nostril-insertion even more in the future, but we still enjoyed out recent welcoming by the Omaha-Council Bluffs Miniature Guild. These talented crafters managed to replicate our nursery in 1:12 scale, and everyone contributed a small accessory item. We have more than enough for several mini-nurseries! Here's the spread:

And here's the completeish project from last night. Can you believe they have everything down to Grandma Bonnie's handmade curtains and the "It's a Boy!" balloon from Rob & Becky on the closet door? Our favorite accessory is probably the rug Susan Curtis made to match our full-sized version. Even if we grow inversely, we've still got a place to sleep.

This was a mini-baby shower the Guild had for us! There was a cake and ice-cream punch and everything. If you look in the little crib, one of the guild members even created a little sleeping baby based on a picture she'd seen of Ernie. So sweet!

What talent, a true keepsake in this gift. The Guild deserves so much thanks. Grandma MOHR

This is one of the coolest things I've seen. Will it be on display at the Kruger Collection?

That's adorable. When is Ernie goin to get a rocking horse?

He's got four mini-rocking horses already! But a full-sized one would be great. I'm starting to get excited about his growing instead of melancholy, and I'm imagining a rocking horse in his real-life nursery along with a little table and chair to draw and read and whatnot. Our little baby will eventually be a little boy!
