Ernie's needed a haircut for a while, but as it gets longer it gets curlier. We're now determined to let it stay long at least until Aunt Laura gets to see it in its full curly glory. We're a bit afraid Ernie will look too much like a big boy after a haircut.

I agree the curls have to stay. It makes me miss Jonathan's curls. And maybe some day when Johanna gets hair she'll have curls too. Ernie's are fabulous!

Ernie's curls remind me of my brother's long blond curls - and those, at 18 mos., taken just before his first "big boy" haircut. Jeremy had his own wavy locks which his older sisters enjoyed putting in barrettes before his first haircut. Luckily for Ernie, he doesn't have to worry about that! Grandma Bonnie
