This morning, Ernie walked about 5.5 feet across the rug to the chair. He still hasn't gotten up on his own and taken off yet, but you know what they say about babysteps and all that. Plus, he was confident enough to slowly take the 12-15 steps from point D(ad) to point C(hair), so I'll count it since it was more than just a controlled fall. I got some of this on video, but it's on the camcorder, not our point and shoot, so it'll take us a while to figure out how to load it.
In other news: Ernie learns the word "hot":
Fortunately, this word is not really associated with it's true meaning yet, but he sure likes saying it. He was about to touch a heat register in our dining room (which of course is not even remotely warm this time of year), and mom wanted to start getting him acquainted with the warning "No, that's hot." Not sure if it sunk in or not, but he didn't touch it and he kept repeating it all morning long.

What do you mean he doesn't know the proper usage of "hot?" He said it over and over when he was kissing me good-bye this morning.
Yay for Ernie on his big achievement! That's so huge!
It was so much fun seeing him walk today at lunch!
He is becoming quite the little man. I love watching the videos that you post!
