The Waiting Game
Ernie has been the most adement member of our family about wanting a baby sister, until last night on his big brother tour at the hospital. When the nurse asked each toddler if they were getting a little brother, little sister, or surprise, he wanted the surprise. I think he thought it might be a sucker.

Sucker, or toy...come on, easy choice. He is a kid and a smart one at that!
Uh-no, now mom and dad are going to have to cough up a surprise when baby sis arrives. He won't forget.
That's too cute.
Luckily, we have several gifts (Tractor Mac book set included!) lined up for Ernie to recieve when we head off the the hospital, and some from baby sister (she's already smart enough to know how well bribery works) he'll get when he first meets her.
I did briefly consider how much easier it would be to give birth to a sucker, though.
