Proud homeowner

For Father's Day, we decided to make Dad and the Grandpas work all day long in sweltering heat. Grandpa Denie and Grandma Bonnie bought Ernie this playhouse a while ago, and he's now at an age where he wants to be outside all the time and can play more independently. So all the men had a hand in an old-fashioned playhouse-raising!
Mom fancied herself crafty, and made them all matching working shirts. Dad and Ern look so cute with their matching ties!

After he woke up from his nap, the walls were all up and most of the roof! He ran in so happy!

The details took a bit longer than we thought, probably because the men had to work around a toddler who was desperately trying to play in the 80% completed house the whole time.


Ernie couldn't be happier with his "little house." He plays in it every day, and dreams of it at night, and spends nap times staring out his window at it. He's a wonderful host, so drop on by!
