We finally got to welcome our new baby boy on August 21, 2013. He was our biggest yet, 8 lbs. 6.4 oz. and 20.5 inches. He looks so much like his older siblings, and he fits in perfectly.

Just a few minutes old with Mom. |
He was so calm and quiet, he just chilled with Dad. |
He didn't even fuss or cry for his first bath and shots. He seems to be as peaceful as his name would imply. |
The big sibs were SO excited to meet him. They were getting almost more anxious than Mom in the days leading up to his arrival. Apparently in school Ernie stood on a chair and said to his class "Our baby has been pushed out!" Aunt Laura brought them both to meet him as soon as they were out of school. |
Proud big bro. |
ECSTATIC big sis. Really, her expression says it all. |
And of course Aunt Laura couldn't wait to get her hands on him. She earned it, as she was very patient sleeping in a cot in our living room for Mom's false labor nights, and then still believing us when we said we thought it was real this time. She came over after we got the big kids in bed around 7 p.m., and Walden was in our arms at 9:42 p.m. |
The G-rents Halls get their first look. We're pretty sure Walden has Grandpa Denie's chin. |
And the G-rents Mohrs have their turn. He also seems to have Grandpa Darrell's ears. |
Naturally, Rob made the rounds in the hospital and of course delivered an obscenely large stuffy to mark his arrival. We named the big chimp Bruce, because of his hefty-sized chin. |
Shaun got to come and hold the little guy. Bruce photobomb! |
First bath at home. Chester was very anxious about the fact that Walden hadn't been licked all over by anyone yet, and a bath did nothing to calm his nerves. He settles down after a few months out, but until then we have to keep on top of him because he'll sneak a lick in the second we aren't looking. |
