Grandma Sue's Farm

One of Ernie's friends at school, Scout, offered a field trip to her Grandma Sue's farm. Daddy volunteered to drive so Lenora got to come as an honorary student.

And it's awesome that they went because she has a HUGE pile of mulch! Apparently Ernie didn't want to give it up.

But he was sweet about helping his sister up the pile.

And she's got goats! We love goats!

And horsies! We love horsies!

And she let all the kids pick a pumpkin! Ernie drew a crayon face on his and kept it on his nightstand. Lenora left hers out on the picnic table and when the squirrels were finished carting off our "Happy Halloween" pumpkins they ate a canonball-sized hole in hers. Ernie was furious on his sister's behalf. He told me "BAD squirrels did this! I want to throw them out of this world!"

A good old-fashioned farmy good time!
