October decorating

Ernie was very anxious to begin Halloween decorating. We had to talk him down every day of September, so right on October 1 we got out the Halloween box and started making the house festive.





We found these small pumpkins to write a seasonal greetings. Before mid-month, squirrels were teaming up to haul off the message for munching. Squirrels [shaking fist in the air]!





Besides new costumes (Bunny Lenora) Jack Skelington is a favorite decoration/toy. I think Lenora daily expressed "I Sawwy" [Sally] during October.

And we finally formed the ground for a miniature graveyard, which we had purchased most of the components for before we even had kids. We got them a ghoul and a witch figurine that could move about the grounds (since those were their costumes of choice this year). Ernie liked putting the ghoul in the tree, and Lenora mostly set them up on graveyard dates. I think I re-glued their hands and heads about 17 times from all the breakage, but it was worth it because they never got tired of playing with them.

We have more in store, but we're saving it for Pumpkin Carvin'!
